I'm so excited to be the music consultant at Glenwood and I'm really looking forward to the musical adventure we're about to embark upon. 

My program has a simple mission...to help develop a curiosity and a life time love of all music. The joy and power of singing together as a group or individually is, in my humble opinion, second to none in the world of musical experiences.

In class, I connect with the children by emphasizing ear training, rhythm, movement, and music appreciation across all grades. I use both vintage and contemporary pop music. We will also listen to classical, jazz, and music from all around the world. 

• Kindergarten and grade 1 will focus on ear training. They will be learning how to really "listen" to song, to recognize instruments, and to recognize when they are and are not singing with the right pitch.
• Grades 2 and 3 will be doing all the above as well as working on a rhythm/drumming.
• Grades 4 and 5 will start on with Orff instruments in November and a drum unit in January. 
• Grade 5 will be song writing.
