Happy Friday Glenwood!
Thank you for another great week. We love seeing you at our morning gatherings on Mondays and Fridays. We hope that attending these gatherings allows you to see us recognize our student’s positive attributes, while further building a strong community.
This last Wednesday was our Back to School Night event. It was highly attended and we hope that you were able to get to know your child’s teacher better as well as get a clear understanding of curriculum, classroom routines, systems, and expectations. I appreciate that some of you had conflicting schedules with the time slots, so please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have any questions. If you have questions for me, please reach out to the office. Thank you for making it a great night.
I also want to thank you for a wonderful event last Friday. It was great to have such a wonderful community event to kick off the new school year. Many thanks to the GSF for organizing this fantastic night of fun. I know there will be many fun events in our future.
I mentioned this briefly at Back to School Night, but please save the date for a “Design a Playground” event to be held in our gym on the night of 9/27/2023 from 6:30-7:30. The San Rafael City Schools Strategic Planning Team will be organizing the event. It will be an opportunity to share ideas with the team in regard to what you would like to see in our schoolyard as we head into the future. I will continue to update you all about this event as it gets closer, but I wanted you to save the date if this was of interest to you.
Please remember we have a 3-day weekend and will return to school on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.
